Dr Janet Hall
Jan is an author, speaker, clinical psychologist and hypnotherapist with extensive experience in education, private practice and business. Jan's particular interests are in hypnotherapy, goal-setting, relationship counselling, sex therapy, managing fears, stress and phobias and family/child relationships.
Rebecca Gilmour
Rebecca Gilmour is a psychologist and mother of two, who has been trained under the expert guidance of Dr Janet Hall to consult and manage the Boss of the Bladder Program in Richmond. She has over seven years experience working with children, adolescents and parents in assisting them to become permanently dry at night and during the day. As a motivation coach for kids, she is the key to a positive outcome at the Boss of the Bladder Program. She also specialises in other toilet-related issues, including toilet fears, toilet training, nappy fixation and encopresis.
Rebecca works with the child and their parents, both independently and collaboratively. She consults with the parents at the beginning and end of each session for progress and planning reports. She then consults with the child to build rapport and trust in order to become the child's coach, confidante and friend. She coaches them throughout their program, offering support, strategies and encouragement, along with helping them to develop assertive and social behaviour skills. She also counsels the parents to be supportive, yet firm with their child, encouraging the child to take responsibility and gain some control of their world.
Simon Candlish
Simon has six years experience as a registered Psychologist. He has completed his Masters in counselling Psychology. Simon has experience working with depression and anxiety and relationship issues including domestic abuse and sexual difficulties. Simon has extensive training in the use of cognitive behavioral techniques and has received academic and professional training in cognitive behavioral therapy including rational emotive behavioural therapy. He adopts an interpersonal approach to client issues emphasizing personal growth and insight and focuses on solutions and strengths to assist clients to improve and grow. Simon has a strong interest in relationships/couples counselling. He is experienced in dealing with a range of sexual issues including sexual dysfunction and sexual dissatisfaction and is passionate about individuals achieving new levels of sexual satisfaction and fulfilling their own sexual potential beyond 'good enough' sexual functioning. He currently supervises other psychologists.
Karen Cook
Karen is an experienced Clinical Hypnotherapist and Counsellor with 15 years in practice. She is a member of the executive of the Australian Association of Clinical Hypnotherapy Inc. and is a full member of the Council of Clinical Hypnotherapists of Australia.
Karen uses Hypnoanalysis, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and a blend of appropriate therapeutic techniques with: phobias, habits and compulsions; anxiety, depression and panic attacks; grief and loss; life transition/managing change; social and performance anxiety; smoking cessation; relationship issues; weight control; and pain management.
She is a certified Diabetes Motivational Coach (Diabetes Research Association of America) and Stress Management Specialist assisting clients with diabetes to reduce stress and blood sugar levels, and control their weight through the powerful process of hypnosis.
Karen is also an accredited Sleeptalk for Children Consultant (Joane Goulding Institute) and offers training in this valuable parenting program – giving parents a practical and powerful tool to build self-esteem and affect profound change in their children.
Vicky Prior
Vikki specialises at the clinic in sexual addictions/compulsions, such as internet pornography, sex workers, and chat rooms. With research degrees focusing on various aspects of anxiety, Vikki also treats sexual and relationship issues with an underlying anxiety basis.
Kylie Jeffery
Kylie is a Masters trained clinical psychologist and has recently returned to practice after having her three children. Kylie's professional training has been focussed in cognitive behavioural therapy and schema focussed therapy. Most recently she was a family and relationship therapist in Queensland with Relationships Australia. Her practice at RA specialised in treating depression and anxiety disorders in adults and children as well as some couples and family therapy. Early in her career she worked with the Department of Human Services as a child protection worker, this experience motivated her to become more involved in the clinical interventions for families and couples. Her special clinical interests include postnatal depression, geriontology, obesity and health related matters in children and adults.
